Well, it's not against a specific person.
It's about some of the Sonic CD times. The "Run against the most left wall of a zone while wearing power sneakers"-glitch which is useful in CC2 and can be used to access the secret room in PP3 with the beta monitors doesn't work in the Gems version of the game. This may be a little unfair, if you ask me.

Anyway, it might seem unfair, but it doesn't matter. This is like Sonic 1 (GameGear). Some things differ between GameGear and Master System versions, but they're both treated as one. There are also tons of differences between the Sonic Adventure games for Dreamcast and Gamecube/PC. We don't think of it as unfairness.
